The Lamb's Here!

The butcher we used for the lambs called and it was time to pick the processed meat up.  Oh boy!  We love lamb!

A Little Mint Jelly...Or Peach Chutney...Fresh Shelled Peas and Onions
Steamed Brown Rice with Butter...Down Right Delicious!

I have only eaten lamb a couple times but did really like the flavor. It is so nice to have something different from pork, beef and chicken. I guess that is why we like deer so much. I just wish lamb was affordable here. I have bought it when it is marked down which it usually ends up being because it is so expensive that no one can buy it here and most don't know what to do with it anyway.

Lamb's even expensive here. We get a couple lambs a year from our neighbor. Many years ago, when I got out of the horse business, my husband gave her all of my Powder River Paneling...without my permission...so, the deal is I get 2 lambs a year for as long as she raises sheep. I miss the panels..but I think I got the better end of the deal.
