Well That Wasn't Fun!

Heart Attack Number FOUR!   He's better, another 2 stints...we're now up to 7 and will have another 2 put in next week....damn....I'd planned on working in the garden and preserving all of those oranges!  My husband had his first heart attack in 1997...he was in his 40's...then 4 years later another...quickly followed by another then...eleven years and a REALLY BIG ONE.  Poor man got his socks knocked off.  Every fire department in the county responded to my 911...the local fire chief arrived first without any back-up...on his own...said he left directly from his home.  My husband is a 30 year retired Rural Volunteer Fireman...our sons' are Rural Volunteer Firemen...the "Big Guns" were all here in my backyard...and my husband was worried about the chickens that were free ranging and their droppings...said we looked like Ma and Pa Kettle! I kept telling him no one cared...and everyone knows he's married to an eccentric coo-coo bird anyway...it would just be good fodder for the coffee shop farmer gossip round table.  They loaded him in the helicopter (I knew that big fallow field was good for something) and flew off to Chico...our boys heading out in there trucks, me in my car and our daughter already on her way from her job...we really used up the fuel that day!  The surgical team was waiting at the heli-pad and he was rushed to surgery...they decided to not do open heart surgery and to just use the stints...he wasn't up to the surgery.  So we're home...he's grumpy and just about back to normal...if there is such a thing.  And my computer is at Best Buy with the Geek Squad...pray for it.

OMG Lynda!!
I hope everything is going ok, and I will pray for Hubs and computer.
It seems that we are all star-crossed. My mother was in the hospital also, pretty serious hypertension that almost ended in disaster. But is getting a little better.
Hope next week is more quiet.
Hugs

Oh no! How scary for him (and you). It's funny the things people think about when there is a medical emergency and the fire dept. shows up, eh?

So sorry to hear this Cortina but glad he has come through it alright and is almost back to normal. Here is hoping that there are never any more.

Mr. Granny took that ride a few years ago. Stents for him, too. I just about had a heart attack when I saw the bill for the helicopter ride from Parker, AZ to Phoenix. I think it was right around $27,000. I suppose it's even more by now. Anyway, good vibes headed your way for your husband and your computer.

Lynda -- you can blog about it now, but I imagine this was so intense for you both. Sending my most powerful vibes for healing to your hubby.

What an intense time! I always get choked up when the chopper flies overhead above our hospital and then zips North. I try to say a little prayer for them and their family, whoever it may be. Glad it went well, and he is almost back to his normal. Good vibes to you, your hubby, and of course your computer. Weird things go through our minds when we call 911. I loaded the dishwasher so they wouldn't see a sink/counter full of them. And I worried about the garden hose on the sidewalk. I didn't want them to trip. Weird!

PS, I've been thinking of you. I have an orange recipe to send to you.

OMG...7 Heart Attacks?!? Your man is a cat with nine lives! I'll let you tell me if he's a tiger or a pussy cat. Sounds like he's on the mend sine he's "growling" already.

My thoughts are with you both!

Glad hubby is doing better. Another good reason to always have your cars filled up with gas. You don't have to make stops on the way to the hospital.

Good luck on your computer. I had a hard drive that even the Geeks couldn't save.

Oh gosh, how scary! And he has had so many! I am glad to hear that he was all right, though, and that an entire legion of personnel showed up to make sure of that.

Your family is in my thoughts. Both for your hubby, AND so that you can get all of your oranges put up. :)
