Hurray! Another Harvest Monday!

I had an extremely successful harvest this week.  Every day we noshed on something from the garden. I think all of the rain paid off.  I do have a bit of problem with the weeds...but I've put up the portable electric poultry netting and the girls are doing a pretty good job of weed eradication!

On Wednesday I harvested a nice broccoli (this is one of my Spring crop...6 or 7 still out there).  When I went out today I couldn't believe how much the side-shoots had already grown.
I'm going to go from bed to bed describing my Harvest Monday...hope I don't bore you, too much.

Now that makes me hungry. Those darned roly poly bugs can sure wreak havoc on the strawberries. My favorite thing in the garden, and I don't like to share!

I don't blame you for not wanting to share the strawberries! Birds like to eat ours. You have a lovely mix of veggies and flowers!

Everything looks so yummy! Strawberries aren't ripe here yet and I have just started planting the veggie garden. Better late than never I suppose. My herb garden is doing wonderful though. Nothing beats eating homegrown!

What a great harvest! Broccoli tends to be very hit and miss for us and your head looks great. It's also a very small world as your daughter could very well be our neighbor...we receive mail in the same town although we're outside of the city limits :)

What a wonderful harvest! I've struggled with bugs in the strawberry patch too. Sometimes all the bugs and plant diseases get me down. :(

So impressive! Especially your broccoli. What variety is it? I'm asking because I'm not getting secondary heads like yours!

Not boring at all. I love seeing gardens from around the world. We can all learn so much from each other.
Great harvest.

Wow, that's some really nice broccoli. I'm still trying to get the timing of planting broccoli right. I only get small heads before they start bolting.

Wonderful, fantastic, super, amazing.....
You are making me envious, no real food here, just the herbs and strawberries so far.

Your photos are wonderful.

WOW! What an impressive harvest. That broccoli looks amazing. And I see you have some wonderful sideshoots coming in too.

Beautiful looking broccoli. And yes I'm jealous that you're getting strawberries. I have to wait until after the freezing rain/ice pellets/snow to even plant my new strawberry plants.

What a wonderful harvest. I can't wait for my broccoli this year. I planted 11 plants. That out to keep my busy eating once they start. At least I'm hoping.

On the comment you just left me, I remember the smell when we had hard wood put in our last house. It can be rough...

We are taking out laminate to put in this tile.

How on earth are you going to host Easter with all that projecting going on in your house! whew

wow, I mean, WOW. thrilled for you to have such bounty! here in Kentucky, Hubby managed to get some broccoli plants out there but we're in a cold snap now and so much rain makes it hard to plant anything else!

Your broccoli looks FABULOUS! And I had to laugh at the rolly polly damage to your strawberries (no, I'm not mean) because I was just having a discussion with a gentleman online who INSISTED that pill bugs did NOT do damage to plants, only to decomposing matter. We've had entire beds of beans sheered off at the base by these little devils but he kept insisting they were not the culprit....sigh.

What an exciting harvest!! How on earth have you managed to keep caterpillars away from your broccoli...not a single leaf nibbled by the looks of things! Bet they were delish.
