ok I am not wordless today lol, how long does it take to dry the citrus slices and at what temp?

Also the greenery your drying with the onions :O), what do you do with that after dried? Crumble? or?

I just turned the citrus: so it's been 16 hours at 125 degrees.

One tray has calendula, another has celery, one with thyme, oregano, sage and 2 with citrus...I'm guessing the celery looked like onions....

The last photos were of another bin of potatoes that needed to be hilled...or mulched...depends on how you look at it.

You've turned your boxes into a thing of beauty. That decides it, we're using cinder for our next box!

Hey, nice blog! I read your info, and it looks like we're (pretty much) neighbors! (I live in Gridley.) Your flowers look great in amongst the veggies. Nice looking raised beds. What do you use the dried oranges for? I did them one year, and put them in hot tea/cider and a boiled potpourri on the wood stove, but that's all I've done.

Lori: I use the oranges for the same things as you! I just hate seeing them going to waste! I juice and freeze a couple gallons, make marmalade, give them away by the bag load and started drying them last year...I wish my chickens liked eating them, but they don't...and the pigs aren't that crazy about them either.
